Argh – I haven’t blogged in ages, and I’ve been meaning to share this beauty for a while. Leia & Dan had a casual fuss free wedding on a Friday in January. Despite it being absolutely freezing we were treated to the most incredible light, low and warm in colour. I think I’ve mentioned it before but, where I can, I love to shoot short, intimate London weddings. There’s nothing like people trusting you to be part of the day when there are only 12 of you.
When I first met them I remember Leia telling me that she never really wanted a ‘wedding’ so instead they were going to rock up to Chelsea Town Hall, have a drink with their mates in a proper London pub and then head to a Mayfair restaurant for a slap up dinner with their families – and it couldn’t have been more perfect for them.
We started off with a first look on one of Chelsea’s most colourful streets – Leia in a super cute lace mini dress and ‘Carrie’s’ Manolos! They braved the icy wind blowing up and down the Thames for some shots by the Albert Bridge, and despite our frozen fingers by the end and poor Leia’s legs (she’s from Canada, she’s tough!) I think it was totally worth it.
