I thought work outside of capturing weddings deserved it’s own little post. This year I’ve shot bumps, babies, boudoir, bloggers…. Styled shoots, a little travel, a little bit of interior photography and some families thrown in for good measure (and some zombies).
Even though it might not necessarily make sense to put all of these together in one post, I wanted to do a little to highlight the work I do away from weddings as particularly during the quiet season, I’d like to do more of it, especially now we’re settled in our new home. I’d love to work with cool families, gorgeous girls who want a boudoir shoot and creative businesses, as well as to travel the world more documenting it with my camera. Hopefully too, despite everything being on such different themes, there is some kind of visual cohesion too.
This is the first year I’ve really tackled and offered proper family and boudoir shoots, and I love them. There’s something really unexpectedly refreshing about hanging out with little ones – no pretence, no selfie faces, just whatever mood they’re in, and the chance to document real life; and boudoir gives me the chance to do something creative, something a little editorial.
I also launched my commercial photography portfolio this year, which you can find it at www.eleanorgillard.com
I’m looking forward to a little chill out time towards the end of this year, just a little bit; and I have one more blog post to share with you before the week (and 2015) is out….
