Asylum chapel wedding photography, Peckham
Let’s cast back our minds to the beginning of August, when we could feel the sun on our backs instead of reaching for the wooly blankets.
Rose & Rich – how much I loved this day. I was just with them for a few short hours, witnessing their vows and two families coming together. Two people saying ‘I do’ – argh, it was so sweet, it gave me all the feels.
I am also in love with the absolute gem that is Asylum Arts in Peckham. I’ve wanted to shoot a wedding here since for-ever and seeing that I live really, really close I’m glad that I finally have. Those gorgeous faded blue-green walls, that incredible light!
After their ceremony and lunch (absolutely delicious looking, and catered by the lovely ladies at Canababes) they headed off to the East Dulwich Tavern (again, literally around the corner from me, and one of my preferred locals!) to carry on the celebration.
Rose looked like a Jane Austen heroine, in her mother’s wedding dress which she customised and modernised, looked A-mazing and I am totally in love with her minty green Swedish Hasbeens.
Such a pleasure to shoot, and I can’t wait to be back there for Gemma and Paul’s wedding in May next year!
