So, I don’t have favourite weddings, it would be like having a favourite child or pet but if you’re going to throw some ducks into the mixture, then if I did have favourites, then this would be a pretty high contender, because c’mon, ducks! (and geese). And some of the ducks were on a slide! As part of the afternoon entertainment Jo & Trent had a guy with two sheepdogs, a gaggle of geese and a herd of ducks, the idea was to herd them round a course with a few obstacles and deliver them safely back to the pen using only commands to the sheepdog. They told all of Trent’s Aussie family that this was an English wedding tradition (I wish) before getting the groomsmen to become the sheep, cue awesome amounts of laughter.
Aside from the ducks, they got married in the teeny village of Limpley Stoke, just outside Bath, in the church up the road from where Jo grew up, wandered across the beautiful countryside to their venue – Homewood Park, ate, drank, toasted marshmallows and made merry. All in all, the perfect day.
