A simple boudoir shoot at home…
Paula offered to be my very first model and we shot this using only available light for a moody feel – unfortunately the grogeous sunshine streaming through the window soon gave way to torrential rain and skies as grey as the walls – which leant the shoot an altogether darker feel.
I feel like I’m still finding my voice in this genre, working out how to be different, but still a little sexy. Feminine but strong.I have to admit, I’m the teensiest bit nervous about pressing schedule on this post… If you’re interested in being part of a test shoot in the next few months, do get in touch.
I thought I’d share an outtake too – I’ve been wanting to do an underwater shot with flowers for ages, since I saw this on Pinterest. Since then a few other photographers I know have tried something similar, though I didn’t want to copy them, I still had an underwater-with-flowers itch to scratch, so Paula climbed into the bath and I filled it with roses from my garden. I feel like the finished result is too pretty – but sometimes you have to share what you didn’t feel worked so well too!
