ABOUT ME
CREATIVE , MODERN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMS
Lovely to meet you, I’m Ellie.
A photographer who’s a little bit alternative, a little bit editorial and a little bit documentary; in London and Norfolk, specialising in capturing real people in real love.
MY LOVE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
With both a degree and previous career in fashion, I will always have a soft spot for editorial photography, and still routinely get swept away by what comes out of the lens of my favourite fashion photographers.
However, there’s a focus on the people and an undeniable connection in documentary wedding photography that doesn’t just sweep me off my feet, it fills up my whole chest, and that’s what I love to focus on in my work. It may sound like a cliché, but it’s true: life isn’t only in the big moments, but also the in-betweens. And on your wedding day, it’s my job to capture a perfect (whatever that means!) blend of the both, so that you can relive them forever.
I split my time as a documentary wedding photographer in London and Norfolk,
as I live in Norwich now but spent 12 years calling East and South East London home. Which is to say: I’m just as comfortable with the buzz of a big city wedding as I am the intimacy of a wedding surrounded by rolling fields.
MY STYLE
A few all time faves
THE INBETWEEN MOMENTS
These in-betweens are my favourites outside of work, too. That first cold beer with your feet on foreign soil, stitching up a dress in my precious spare time, music, the quiet pleasure of solo afternoon mooch in London – maybe a film or a gallery, in fact museum gift shops and beautiful books full of wonderful ideas printed on beautiful paper, the hum of a city as an observer, a bone dry glass of Chablis, kitchen discos and springtime, carbs, the smell of rain after a dry spell.
It’s cult TV box sets and sofa snuggles with the ones I love: my husband Joss, my son Eddie, my three cats and my dog (it’s only a three seater, but we manage.)
