Lauren And Eren – a cosy winter microwedding

131 The Promenade Wedding

Lauren and Eren were originally scheduled to be married in May 2020, in the depth of the first lockdown. Like many couples they rescheduled to December thinking it was a ‘safe bet’ but as things changed, and the wedding became smaller, they looked for a new venue to host just 15 guests and chanced upon No 131 The Promenade in Cheltenham. And OMG am I glad they did. What a venue – every nook and cranny of this beautiful old building is gorgeous, every detail considered. And it made the perfect spot for a cosy winter micro wedding in December. I think I might be the newest, biggest fan of 131 The Promenade.

Despite having just immediate family and a handful of friends, the day was still warm and full of love. Starting with a humanist ceremony by Diana at Grace The Day, they moved on to confetti and gin (OMG serious glassware envy here) under twinkling lights at the front of the building, before heading up for dinner, speeches and more drinks with a long candlelit table and underneath a neon light. There may have been no dancefloor, but this still felt like the most epic party, and was such a treat to shoot.

I have adored all my short coverage town hall weddings since the start of the pandemic, but something about being here made me feel like things were the way they always were.

Fewer guests doesn’t mean that you have to settle for anything less than perfection.
