Pennard Hill Farm wedding

A Glastonbury themed wedding overlooking the Glastonbury site

I see your festival inspired wedding and raise you a festival inspired wedding where you can see the actual skeleton of the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury’s Worthy Farm site. I mean you can’t really get any more authentic. All the time I was there I was trying to place where we were vs the actual layout of the festival – it’s hard to imagine when it’s just rural idyll instead of 200,000 people in a miniature city but I do know that their farm becomes the location for some of the fancy luxury camping, if you don’t fancy roughing it in the standard camping fields.

Anyway, I digress – Lucie & Josh met at Glastonbury and it’s one of their absolute favourite things to do together, so it made perfect sense to come back to their relationship’s spiritual home and get legally married pretty much as close as you can to the festival site.

Pennard Hill Farm wedding venue

Pennard Hill Farm is actually an epic, luxurious farm that offers a variety of self catering accommodation including cottages and various glamping options year round, luxurious farm feasts (the food I had was genuinely some of the best I’ve had at a wedding) and weddings that you can make 100% yours. You can get legally married outdoors then move your party to their giant tipi which boasts those epic views over the Worthy Farm site and then camp in a little yurt village, so bedtime is just a stumble away for guests who’ve perhaps taken the spirit of the festival a touch too far.

Authentically festival themed fun

For Luci & Josh, the wedding weekend was one of those freaky hot ones that we got in September 2023 and it kind of added to the sense that this wedding was a kind of epic fever dream. Their tables were inspired by all of their favourite music, their programme was a faithful tribute to the Glastonbury Free Press and they chose an amazing indie band who had the dancefloor going all night.

about weddings at pennard hill farm

The space at Pennard Hill Farm is licensed for civil ceremonies, but you can also chose a celebrant based ceremony, or one that is not legally binding that overlooks the epic view point. They cater to weddings big and small, so should you want to hold a microwedding on the site you can. The tipi on site can accommodate up to 130 guests, and catering is provided by their in-house team – Pennard Hill Kitchen. Accommodation for up to 24 people is included in your hire fee, but if you want to create a yurt village as Luci & Josh did, there is an extra fee. The venue also caters for elopements, which I think is a lovely touch for a venue like this.
