A Suffolk village wedding – Emily & Christian

SUFFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A wedding reception in a yurt

Back in July, as Covid restrictions were easing; Emily and Christian held their riotously fun Suffolk wedding in the village of Bradfield Combost. How joyous and life affirming it was to be back at a ‘big’ wedding, with hugging and dancing, and a band and other suppliers to work alongside. It would have been exciting enough just for that reason. I love photographing weddings in Suffolk – although i’m based just over the border in Norfolk – it’s always so pretty, the gorgeous pink houses and decorative plasterwork make me feel like I’m somewhere else entirely.

Throw in the mega cool cats that are Emily and Christian, their friends who represent the cream of the local music scene, music by Bessie Turner, dogs, a reception in a beautifully decorated yurt, cocktails, singing waiters, a groom in marble print shirt, macrame hangings in the woods and lots of other bits of gorgeousness.

It’s such a privilege to be back to work, doing what I love after 18 months of the wedding industry in turmoil, and expect lots of goodness from this Summer on the blog over the next few weeks.
