A Wedding in Cervo, Italy – Stéphanie & Roberto

DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY ITALY

Stéphanie was a guest at one of the first ever weddings I shot, waaaay back in 2011. In fact she designed Cara, the bride’s dress when she was a student at Central St Martin’s. Now back in Paris, she got in touch about her wedding to Roberto in Italy and I knew it would be amazing.

The wedding itself was in the medieaval town of Cervo, situated high on a hill on the beautiful Ligurian coast, full of winding, steep alleys that all lead to the central square, and the exquisitely beautiful church. After the ceremony, and being absolutely pelted with rice by friends and family, and a quick change into a jumpsuit for Stéphanie, they jumped on an old Vespa (which couldn’t get up the hill out of the village and meant Stéphanie had to run alongside) and rode the coast road to the Rocce Di Pinamare restaurant and beach where the plan was to feast, drink and party on the beach. The only problem was that it absolutely lashed down with rain, except these guys smashed it out of the park, braving the rain for me and Yohan (their videographer) and getting more than a little soaked, but loving every minute of it. With a 70’s Riviera dress code, and a nod to their favourite icons from the era, the night was actioned packed with dinner, dancing, drinking on repeat.

So thanks guys, for having me along to document your day, it was truly a pleasure. And sorry it’s another long one.
