SJ & Sean – Harrild & Sons wedding

Harrild & Sons wedding

Never ever have I been so happy for air conditioning at a wedding venue than at SJ & Sean’s Harrild & Sons wedding. The Summer of 2022 was hawwwwt, and this was one of the hottest. Made even more so by the total babes that are SJ & Sean and their super awesome, fun and of course very stylish wedding in Farringdon.

Getting ready at The Holborn Hoxton

The day started with me arriving at the super stylish Holborn branch of the Hoxton hotel – slightly more grown up than it’s East London neighbour, it’s a great spot to get ready, though I’d totally recommend booking a number of rooms if you have a reasonable size crew, as the rooms can be quite bijoux.

SJ has the best style, she had a dress from Halfpenny London, platforms by Terry De Havilland and flowers from My Lady Garden, as well as my fave Laura Anne Makeup on beauty….

SJ and her bridesmaids headed down in the lift to greet some of the guests on her side of the family, who were staying over, before all heading off on a routemaster to Hackney Town Hall.

Hackney Town Hall wedding ceremony

Sean and his family were waiting at Hackney Town Hall. Sean in a super cool blue cord suit. We were ushered into the cool, art deco-ed marble entry of HTH ready for the ceremony.

Exiting in a cloud of confetti (and fully demonstrating why colourful tissue paper definitely looks best in photos), I then headed with the two of them to St Paul’s Cathedral, where we took some photos on the iconic steps, and to Christchurch Greyfriars Garden – a quite spot in the madness of The City with some of the original City of London wall.

Wedding reception at Harrild & Sons

And then on to Farringdon and Harrild & Sons. Tables were named after favourite London pubs (always a winner in my book) and after dinner they headed down into the venue’s own Speakeasy, for custom cocktails before dancing the night away.

If you’re looking for a London pub reception venue, you’re in luck as I’ve rounded up some of my favourites here
