JO & CRIS – FRESH AND FROSTY

So, narrative, the art of telling stories. It’s important in photographing weddings, you are after all creating a visual story of the day, something that unfolds like a movie as it’s viewed and consumed. But sometimes you get to tell the concept of narrative to do one. Today I’ve decided to do that with a few images from Jo & Cris’ wedding in London, at St Mary’s Hampstead and with their reception at St Stephen’s – just down the road.

It was one of those fine and frosty days you are sometimes very lucky to get in December, with beautiful low sun all day. It’s like golden hour all day! But then the sun sets and you have to find other ways to make some magic.

So with that in mind, here are a few frames from the day, and a mix of natural, artificial and ambient light.
