The Best of 2025

I’ll honest, I haven’t shared much of he delight that was 2025 – neither over here nor on Instagram. Not for any particular reason (Ok – maybe a bit with instagram, more on this in a bit) other than I was busy shooting, editing and delivering weddings and in the times I wasn’t I was busy living life – I read, I wrote something (no, it’s still not finished), I worked out, I ran my first ever 10k, spent time with my family and went away on a big ol’ holiday. All of this has been delightful and I’ve tried to build my business and my website so that I have enough work out there that i don’t need to be constantly feeding the beast. It’s a nice feeling.

Speaking of Instagram, it feels like a particularly challenging beast to feed. Their focus on making it more engaging (read: addictive) for users has meant that all content needs to serve you a kind of hook, it’s no longer enough simply to put some nice pictures out there and shout, look I did a wedding. Everything is for engagement, and if you don’t have a brain that thinks like that, like a social media manager, then it’s super easy to feel like you’re falling behind with it. So I just posted a little when I felt like it and left it there. And it’s been so liberating.

Anyway, back to 2025. Another fabulous, busy, wonderful year. Some 45-odd couples, many, many miles covered, smiles, hugs, declarations of love. Shooting lots of the same lovely things as in years gone by – cool, creative, fun, relaxed couples who want stylish wedding photography with heart. After all these years I still love photographing weddings, and I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store.
