Harriet & Oscar held what could, quite possibly, be the most stylish DIY wedding ever, at the rather wonderful Hales Hall Great Barn in Norfolk.

As an aside, this place has quite a bit of sentimental value for me, as it’s where my brother married his lovely wife Laura (which Libby captured for me) and we all stayed on site for the weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful to be on the other side of the wedding coin for once.

When I first met H&O back on a wet day in May, over a beer, they told me all about their DIY projects, about how involved they had been in planning each detail, but I did not expect this. Everything from the dress (make by Harriet’s Mum) to the cake (by her sister) to all the beautiful paperie and even the beautiful handwritten name cards – just awesome and much respect.

But they’re not only stylish and super beautiful, but incredible amounts of fun too, from beer pong in the rain with all their bestest, to a surprise Bier Hall style oompah band and one of the most epic parties I’ve seen for a while, this was an absolute treat.

Alas Hales Hall Barn have chosen to stop doing weddings for now, and whilst i think that’s super sad because it’s a truly wonderful place to celebrate – you can check out my list of cool venues in Norfolk over here
