ROSIE & STEVE – A CENTRAL LONDON WEDDING

UNION CLUB WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Ack, where to start with this gorgeous wedding. Well, Rosie & Steve are a gorgeous pair – an engineer and a scientist respectively, it made perfect sense for them to hold their wedding ceremony at the Royal Institution in Mayfair – the home science, the iconic Christmas Lectures and the Faraday Auditorium. After that it, the plan was to walk through the streets of Central London, right on to The Union Club, a similarly iconic members club hidden away behind an unassuming red door, away from the hustle and bustle of Greek Street down below. Unfortunately London’s crazy Summer rain sent us all bundled into taxis and huddled under umbrellas. In the last year or so, The Union Club has hugely expanded their events space, expanding over the neighbouring building and creating an urban, industrial space with bare plaster walls and fairy lights – all of my kinda visual language.

It was a delight, as always to work with Laura Anne makeup, and to meet Gee of Bloom & Burn flowers – his Instagram feed is a real treat for the eyes; it felt like a bit of a wedding dream team – especially when combined with the rather lush interiors of the Hospital Club where Rosie and her bridesmaids got ready. (Is that a Missoni carpet – if so I want!)

And back to Rosie & Steve, I never meant to blog quite so many images, but as I went through it just made sense. I don’t think there was a single moment where the pair of them weren’t absolutely beaming and so it seemed to be just right to share so many little moments – I really hope you agree!
