LISA & CRAIG
A STYLISH WEDDING IN ISLINGTON
Canonbury Tavern wedding photography
I haven’t blogged anything in ages and ages. When you’re full in the madness of wedding season the priority is always shooting and actually getting images edited and shared with your couples, and travelling all over the place and trying not to eat too many packets of crisps in the car. Finally though, I’m going to try and share some of this years amazing weddings and I’m starting with Lisa & Craig’s amazing and super stylish do in Islington from June 2017.
Lisa started the day off with her bridesmaids at The Zetter Townhouse (which I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for somewhere stylish to get ready – the light is incredible!) before meeting Craig for a first look in the downstairs parlour, surrounded by curiosities, before we headed out onto the streets of Clerkenwell for some shots of just the two of them before the ceremony. I’ve always loved shooting in urban areas that might not seem to have much going on, it’s a creative challenge that usually yields interesting results, and the series of images of L&C by a plain white wall have become some of my all time faves. We did need to dodge some random flytipped junk, but hey, that’s half the fun.
Onto their ceremony at Islington Town Hall, and their reception at The Canonbury Tavern which was styled to perfection by Martica Wakeman – transforming the pub into something much more stylish. This was a gorgeous, sunny, heartfelt celebration of love, right in the centre of Islington.
