Longton Wood wedding photography

Laura & Dave had a fabulous, fun (and dare I say a little bit drunken) wedding at Longton Wood in Kent, with a humanist ceremony, yet more pizza (pizza at all weddings please, especially if your wedding caterer can provide Mozzarisella 😉 ), frames in the woods, woodsmoke, festoons and a band with a banjo.

Outdoor-y woodland venues like this that act as a blank canvas for your ideas are some of my faves, who wouldn’t want to get married under a canopy of trees with the earth under their feet? Ditto humanist ceremonies – they are always so personal and bespoke and pretty much all of my favourites are humanist or celebrant led. There’s some talk of legalising them in much the same way as in Scotland, which would give couples much more flexibility about how they can marry. If you’re interested in reading more of the logistics of getting married outdoors you can read my piece about getting married outdoors in England and Wales over here

LONDESBOROUGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY Christa & Bryn are both rather lovely. Both musicians, they had a purposefully low key wedding day with a ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall, followed by a reception at The Londesborough, just down the road. Christa looked gorgeous in her Andrea Hawkes Bridal gown and I have extreme envy of her…
