Town Hall Hotel Bethnal Green wedding photography
Town Hall Hotel wedding photography
Shannon & Luke held their wedding at the glorious Town Hall Hotel in East London. This chic little gem of a hotel, not quite in Shoreditch, not quite in Hackney, boasts original panelling, mid century interiors and all kinds of awesome art. I’d been there many times before, it’s a really popular hotel to get wedding-ready in, but never had the pleasure of photographing a whole wedding there before.
And where do we start with Shannon & Luke, both achingly cool but also some of the nicest folk you’ll ever meet. Shannon works for East London florists Grace & Thorn (and if you haven’t checked out their wedding bouquets to go yet, what have you been doing?) and the team pulled a late one the night before the wedding, pulling all of the wonderful florals together for the day. Luke chose to forego traditional groomswear, staying true to his own style, and with groomsmen in cool patterned shirts – we met up in The Sun (which used to be my preferred local back when I was a Bethnal Green resident) for some shots of them together – I think they might be some of my favourite ever all-the-guys-together kind of portraits.
Town Hall Hotel & Apartments
This wedding was super fun, super laid back and quintessentially London, but my favourite thing about Town Hall Hotel weddings is the sheer number of beautiful places available to take photos – the front steps have a timeless quality, but there’s cool textures round the back and interesting lights in the restaurants, the bustle of Cambridge Heath Road and the calm of the gardens around the nearby Museum of Childhood; as well as art installations like bears made out of persian rugs.
Thanks so much for letting me come along as your Town Hall Hotel wedding photographer, and finally check this wonderful place off my venue bucketlist! If you’re planning a wedding at the Town Hall Hotel, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
