Best of 2021
TL;DR – 2021 was a very busy year, here are some nice photos….
To say 2021 was an interesting one was a bit of an understatement. Months of drawn out winter lockdown, and wondering if weddings, or love or anything nice, would ever be able to happen again gave way to one of the busiest seasons ever. 42 weddings to be precise – 40 of those after June and the majority after the 19th July removal of restrictions. Bizarrely, it didn’t seem busy in the thick of it, but as the mileage added up, and the numbers of harddrives filled too, it soon became clear this was a year like no other.
The weddings too were so hugely varied and wonderful, from tiny town hall ceremonies while we could still only invite 6 friends, to huge parties in iconic locations with 300 guests. I’ve photographed humanist ceremonies, Hindu ceremonies, Sikh ceremonies and civil partnerships too and had an absolute blast.
When choosing this collection of images ‘best’ is a term loosely applied – it’s colours, happenings, people, light and other snippets I think represent how I see the world. I hope you enjoy it.
Just a little extra note to say – I intend that 2022 will be a little quieter on the wedding front – I want to take on somewhere between 25 and 30 weddings spread out over the whole year. I still have a little bit of availability this Summer – one free weekend date in each May, June and July and then availability from October onwards. If you like what you see and are looking for a wedding photographer in London or Norfolk, then do let me know.
